1) Vincent sat in the café with an astrophysicist named Norman. Mostly, Vincent thought what Norman was talking about was boring, until, Norman started talking about these anomalies in outer space that a visitor he did not bother to mention too much. These anomalies in space he referred to as black holes. This piqued Vincent’s curiosity. It seemed that these black holes deep in space were millions of miles away. But the most interesting thing about these black holes was that they sucked in all that was around there gravitational pull. Not even light rays could escape their gravitational pull. It seemed to Norman that the future was here and millions of Franc’s could be made on the discovery of these new celestial bodies in space. If only he could convince the French community of astro science that it was proof of science that could lead to new technologies. Van Gogh’s imagination grew a spark. The more he talked to the American named Norman the more his imagination grew. He just had to paint what he thought the astrophysicist was getting across.////
2) Dean of astrophysics: You see It’s like this Norman…..What did you say what your last name was? Itern: He didn’t. Dean: Well you see, we can’t allow having any information here about these discoveries about these black holes. There are those In the field that know about these anomalies here too. This nation and the scientific board are of the feeling that discussion of such a topic could set off a public panic. We have nothing to detail how far away these anomalies are. You must understand that we must know who it is that you told this information to. Norman: It was an artist named Vincent. That was the only person I told. I did not know that it would cause such a problem with the community, my apologies. Dean: No offense taken. The dean took aside his intern who had finished playing pool and told the intern to contact Don Ligetti. Some people had to be gotten rid of. This man is trying to get at French sciences.////
3) Vincent is in his bed with his mistress Rebecca and is kind of consumed with finishing his interpretation of what Norman the astrophysicist was talking about. Rebecca stated to him that she liked the addition of the big dipper in the painting and thought it was a nice touch. Suddenly there was detail that Vincent had remembered that he had forgotten. Rebecca mentioned that she set up a public viewing of the painting when it was finished. Van Gogh said this was great, and then he sprung out of bed to put the detail he had forgot into the painting. They continued to talk through the night.////
4) It was the day of the showing that Rebecca said she had arranged, and there was a small showing about 45 individuals came to see the painting. Most of the day Vincent had waited for Norman to show. Finally at the end of the day Norman showed. He enjoyed some wine, cheese and crackers. He looked at the painting and for the most part could not make out what it was that he was looking at. He was baffled at Vincent’s explanation, but tried to be cordial. Nearing the end of his departure he exclaimed to Vincent, please by no means let any know what I had told you about the black hole anomalies. Vincent agreed. And for the better part of most of the day Vincent felt down in the heart.////
5) Some goons are in a psychiatric ward in what seemed like an act of taking over the joint. What they actually wanted to accomplish was to apply the appropriate muscle to the institution and the powers that ran it they needed twas to remain in the institution without argument. Hopefully, he would go to prison for killing the astrophysicist named Norman, but just in case he was not found guilty, in the psych ward he was to stay. Carmine: Do you know why I put this here? Mark: No why? Carmine: You don’t know why I put this here. Mark: put what, where: Carmine: Dis, the wood burning stove? Mark: NO! Carmine: I put this here so that you understano understand one thing that Van Gogh d that Van Gogh go’s here after were through with what we need to do to get him in the clink fails. Mark: I did notice you moved the stove. Carmine: Yeah, Van Gogh go’s here. Git it!!! Mark: I don’t like this plan boss. Carmine: Hey!!!! Van Gogh go’s here. Mark: Ok boss. Carmine: now get the gun away from the brain surgeons head. Mark: I’m kind of having fun with the power over him. Carmine: Git the gun away from the brain surgeons head or I’m gonna wack ya.////
6) The American astronomer was found killed in the river. A scrap of Van Gogh’s painting was found at the scene.////
7) One day while painting in town Vincent was visited by a constable of the community. He had mentioned that the American astrophysicist was murdered and that a scrap of a painting was found near the location that was recognized as a painting of his. Vincent, after looking at the scrap had recognized it as a painting lost in a fire, and he had not seen it since. After some ground work the constable had found Vincent’s story to be authentic and did not pursue the matter with Vincent again.////
8) It was after Carmine had discovered that Van Gogh was not going to take the heat for the crime of the death of the astrophysicist that he had Vincent followed along a walk. Under a bridge they attacked him and cut off his ear. They warned him that he was never to talk of the points he had learned from the astrophysicist. They sent the ear to his mistress and warned her that Van Gogh was a lunatic. Do not contact the man again.////
9) In the psych ward Vincent was mostly done with his new rendition of what the man named Norman was talking about. He had made a friend at the ward and asked him to come take a look at it. Friend: I like this painting. I think it is a beautiful nightscape, I can almost see it outside your window right now. Just one question though, what is the red grid in the center here? Vincent:…………………….(he thought about it for a moment) That is just a grid to lay down where I want certain colors to go. A tear fell from Vincent’s eye.
